Well, ok, it could just as easily be August Sands... but trust me there is a sharp wind blowing... I've posted this just to break up the series of gloomy paintings I've been doing. It is actually just an accidental painting. I had painted in my usual suspect, a line of trees, and then scrapped them off (been there, done that...) but that left me with nothing to paint. So I decided to rough in the sky. When I got down to the traces of the scrapped off treeline and the tan blankness of the bottom of the board, I saw in that grasses and sand dunes and just when with that.
