Dawn on the Thames

An unusual painting for me in that I used a small (4mm) brush to paint it. Don't expect any details, however. When I switched from watercolors to oil I never took the time or effort to learn how to manage the thicker, stickier oil paints. I would sit and try to get them to do something all the while saying "I hate this". Luckily, I've always admired the impressionist painters, so I had an alternative to painting realistically, and I went for it. The only thing different about this painting is the texture, everything else is my usual slap-dash.
