Artist's Comments
My last Faervale Oval Painting -- for now. Note the qualifiers. There is nothing to prevent me from slipping around the corner and painting Summerlea Crescent -- but I'm just doing that because I want a bigger summer painting to hang over the sofa.
The funny thing is that I never noticed the slanting optical line in the trees until I saw the thumbnail. I'll have to do something about that. Painting the way I do I have to be careful that not too many unintended faces and things slip into the painting by looking at it with both my glasses off and on. Still, if you look hard enough I'm sure you find some -- just don't, otherwise you'll always see them... 16x24" 40x60cm acrylic on hardboard. |
