This week's painting. I actually did three in the last week. One of them was this size which turned out to be just about the opposite of what I'd intended to paint; almost, in a semi-demi way, realistic. However, ending up with something you'd not care to be found dead in a ditch with is a known hazard of starting a painting with no idea of what you intend to paint. My original idea was to paint even abstract landscapes than I normally do, but in looking back at what I've done, I realized that I probably couldn't paint them even more abstractly than I've already done and still call them landscapes. I guess I'll just paint with the idea of trying to come up with some new motifs instead. I don't think one piece a week isn't going to be too a great strain on my imagination.
