The painting of the week. This'll have to do. The big painting hasn't come together in any sort of idea worth keeping despite working on it every night. Still, I like this painting -- it's actually an illustration, the cover illustration for my story, A Summer in Amber. Nothing is happening in it, which makes it a rather strange cover, but it has a the feel of a quiet evening I wanted. The thing is, if I ever do self-publish it as an ebook, all you usually see of the cover is a thumbnail of it anyways, and this gives the cover the look of an old fashioned book, which I also wanted.
