Just seeing how minimal I can make a painting that captures a mood. The nearly featureless grey sky I used was from a recent bike ride just after sunset. I was going use it in a scene similar to what I saw, (a marsh and a line of trees on the horizon) but it seem too familiar to the last several pieces, so I trimmed it down to blue hills and a glimpse of the sea.
