Thanks again for your nice comments. Longsands Island is a combination of the German Frisian islands -- as imagined from the pages of "The Riddle of the Sands", a novel by Erskine Childers, and Jan Toorop's painting: "The Dunes and the Sea at Zoutlande".

Thank you. I try to keep things simple and understated. I like things that way, and just as importantly, I can actually paint it without trying too hard -- keeping it fun.

As always, the colors on the actual painting don't glow like a computer screen, so the actual painting is a bit more subdued.
